North Korean threat actors have been found posing as recruiters and job applicants, distributing malware at organizations in the United States and other parts of the world in order to obtain unauthorized employment opportunities. These activities were named "Contagious Interview" and "Wagemole" by Palo Alto Networks Unit 42. Targets of these attacks range from infecting software developers' computers with fictitious interviews to fraudulent job applications for financial gain and espionage.
