Information Security Technology Guidelines for Critical Data Recognition (draft for comment) issued

Recently, the National Information Security Standard Committee has issued the Information Security Technology Guidelines for Identifying Important Data (Draft for Public Comments) (hereinafter referred to as the Guidelines), which is open for public comments. The Guidelines give the basic principles and considerations for recognizing important data, as well as the format for describing important data.

The Guidelines are applicable to data processors in identifying important data in their possession, providing support for the security protection of important data, and also serving as a reference for various regions and departments in formulating specific catalogs of important data in their own regions and departments, as well as in related industries and fields.
